![]() ![]() The three stories in this collection that I really enjoyed were The Bad Baby-Sitter, Losers and The Mummy’s Dream. I don’t think books should be dumbed down and oversimplified just because the audience is young, children are much smarter and more perceptive than we often give them credit for. I understand that this book is aimed at a very young audience so I wasn’t expecting anything disgustingly horrifying or mind blowing, but there have been many children’s horror books that have done a better job such as Neil Gaiman’s Coraline. ![]() Stine has received numerous awards of recognition, including several Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and Disney Adventures Kids' Choice Awards, and he has been selected by kids as one of their favorite authors in the NEA's Read Across America program.
